I suppose that if you are reading this, then you share some of my same interests. I thought that I would supply some of the resources that I frequently use for my work and personal interests. I am going to spare talking about the internet giants even though they may be the most convenient or obvious, I think that you can figure that stuff out for yourselves.

I am a big proponent to buying local, even if it means paying more to support such businesses. I suppose where I draw the line is quality. For instance, I opt for the box store/contractor tool brand rather than the consumer level that I can buy at the local hardware store. I have both, but I have to say that professional tool often has more durability and ergonomics leading to better results (isn’t that the point?).

The truth is, I don’t care for online shopping. I want to try on the shoes or see how the pants or shirt fit. I want to see all the pockets in the backpack or feel the difference between two and two and a half pounds if I possibly can. One of my first ever online purchases (2002) was a Benchmade knife that was much smaller than I actually imaged before I bought it. More often than not buying blindly has left me disappointed.

Subjects that have enough content warrant their own pages (in the menu below this page). Currently, there is the full culinary reading list from my wine food book club and the AltF4 media list.
